This piece is made from die-cast aluminum and features a polished tabletop with a three-dimensional triangular pattern carved into the surface. When light shines on the surface, the table top reflects a geometric motif onto nearby walls. Four splayed legs add stability. This 1967 Hexagonal Table is a fine example of this exuberance. Alongside his contemporaries Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson, Alexander Girard was a prominent figure in postwar US design. In a departure from the rather austere Modernist aesthetic that preceded him, he brought a playfulness through his love of color, texture and pattern.

This is believed to be the recently released in very limited edition from Vitra, and in great condition with minimal wears.
