A rare example of Isamu Noguchi's Light sculpture: 70XL shade pendant shade, kept in a 70XN box with a newer BB3 base. 70XL shade: The bright red Sun and Moon stamp indicates this is the earliest edition of Noguchi's Akari, and it has rarely been used. This work came from an estate in New Mexico, where the original owner brought it over from Japan. BB3 base: a later purchase to convert the shade into a floor lamp. Made in Japan is stamped on the bottom of the base.
