A modernist rosewood dining table, designed by Hannes Wettstein for Cassina. This is the 240cm/94inch length version with rosewood veneer. The table is in good condition, with normal wear for its age, and some surface scratches on the tabletop.

Designed by Hannes Wettstein for Cassina in 2005, El Dom is a Santos rosewood table with a strong, almost monolithic presence. The top and legs appear to merge into a single wooden volume, giving the piece a sense of solidity and continuity. The gradual tapering of the legs softens the sense of weight, visually lightening the overall form. Now out of production, the table reflects a rigorous approach to form and refined construction.
