Florence Knoll 2544 Rosewood Credenza with Calacatta Marble Top
This is a '4-Position' Credenza, model 2544, first designed by Florence Knoll in 1961 as part of her new approach to commercial interior design. The sophisticated design reflects executive quality and clearly shows the influence of Mies van der Rohe on Florence's design approach.
This is an early example of the cabinet in a 10-drawer configuration. The piece is made of rosewood and features a marble top. The credenza has a lower height, standing at 25 inches tall, making it ideal for use as a TV cabinet or a dining room cabinet.
This credenza measures 74.75 inches wide, 18 inches long, and 25.5 inches high. The previous Carrara Marble top has been replaced with a honed finish Calacatta Marble top with prominent veining and color.
